Kenwood’s NEXEDGE® NXDN, dPMR and multi-protocol NX-5000 and NX-3000 Series Digital in-vehicle mobile radios, like their hand portable counterparts, are available for operation on VHF and UHF frequencies.

Compact and easy to install, they are ideal for use in cars, vans, taxis, buses, trucks and maintenance vehicles, where a more powerful transmission is required. “And with the vehicle’s battery providing the power to the unit, you can rely on a virtually inexhaustible operating life (so long as the vehicle engine is running to charge it),” says Sean Mervitz, Sales Manager at Global Communications (an Elvey Group company and part of the Hudaco Group of companies).

Additionally, they may be used as a fixed base where a more powerful transmission is required – allowing users to build a simple on-site radio network with a dispatcher function.
